| Abstract | An efficient synthesis of potent molluscicidal agent cyanolide A, a glycosidic 16-membered macrolide, starting from D-(-)-pantolactone is reported. Highly stereoselective aldol, oxa-Michael addition, and Yamaguchi macrolactonization are the key steps in the present synthesis. |
